Section 4
Enrolment & Participant Accounts
4.1 Enrolment Process
Enrolment is completed when Senova issues a written confirmation of your place in a cohort. Submission of an enquiry form or payment alone does not constitute a guaranteed place; places are subject to cohort availability.
4.2 Accurate Information
You are responsible for providing accurate contact information and age details at the time of enrolment. Age eligibility requirements exist for each programme and are outlined in the programme descriptions. Senova reserves the right to decline enrolment where eligibility requirements are not met.
4.3 Participant Communications
On enrolment, you consent to receive programme-related communications from Senova, including session reminders, pre-session reading materials, and cohort newsletters. You may request to unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time by writing to [email protected].
Section 5
Participant Responsibilities
5.1 Conduct
Participants are expected to engage respectfully with other cohort members and Senova programme facilitators. Our programmes depend on a quiet, considered discussion environment. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session or programme where conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or inconsistent with the educational nature of our programmes.
5.2 Acceptable Use
Programme materials are provided for personal educational use only. You agree not to reproduce, distribute, resell, or repurpose any programme materials, session recordings, reading content, or cohort newsletter content for commercial purposes or public distribution.
5.3 Prohibited Activities
- Soliciting other participants for commercial, advisory, or product-related purposes during or after sessions.
- Recording sessions without the express written consent of Senova and all participating cohort members.
- Misrepresenting Senova's programme content as regulated financial advice or professional financial planning services.
- Using the Senova name, logo, or programme materials in any public communications without written permission.
Section 6
Intellectual Property
All programme materials — including reading binders, journal books, worksheet cards, glossary cards, workbooks, cohort newsletters, and any digital supplementary content — are the intellectual property of Senova and are protected under Singapore's Copyright Act 2021 and applicable international copyright frameworks.
On enrolment, Senova grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the programme materials for your own personal educational purposes during and following the programme period. This licence does not permit reproduction, copying, scanning, redistribution, resale, lending, or commercial adaptation of any materials.
Where a participant provides written feedback, reflections, or other content during a programme (such as completed reflection journal pages), that content remains the participant's own. Senova will not reproduce or publish participant-authored content without explicit written consent.
Section 7
Payment Terms
7.1 Fees
All programme fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Fees are as stated on our website and in your enrolment confirmation at the time of booking. Senova reserves the right to adjust programme fees for future cohort intakes; enrolled participants will not be subject to fee increases once a place is confirmed.
7.2 Payment
Full payment is required to secure your place in a cohort. Payment details and accepted methods will be outlined in your enrolment confirmation. Places are not held pending payment.
7.3 Cancellations & Transfers
- More than 21 days before first session: Full fee refund, less any administrative processing charge notified at the time of enrolment.
- 8 to 21 days before first session: 50% of the programme fee will be refunded. The remainder covers materials preparation and cohort coordination costs already incurred.
- 7 days or fewer before first session: No refund is available. However, we will endeavour to transfer your place to a future cohort intake where capacity permits, subject to a transfer administration fee.
- After programme commencement: No refund is available for sessions already delivered. Withdrawal from a programme once commenced does not entitle a participant to a fee adjustment for remaining sessions.
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days.
Section 8
Programme-Specific Terms
8.1 Educational Nature
All Senova programmes are educational reading programmes. They are not regulated financial advisory services, investment advice services, or professional consultation services of any kind. Nothing in any session, material, reading, worksheet, or facilitator discussion constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or regulated financial planning.
8.2 Attendance
While we encourage consistent attendance across all sessions to gain the full benefit of the cohort discussion format, Senova does not impose mandatory attendance requirements. Sessions are not recorded for absent participants; pre-session reading materials are distributed regardless of attendance.
8.3 Programme Adjustments
Senova reserves the right to adjust session dates, venues, and content where reasonable circumstances require. Participants will be given reasonable notice of any material changes. In the event of a programme cancellation by Senova, enrolled participants will receive a full fee refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort.
8.4 Cohort Conduct
Cohort discussion sessions are structured to encourage open, reflective conversation. Participants are expected to respect the confidentiality of personal reflections shared by other cohort members within sessions. Personal disclosures made by other participants in a programme context should not be shared outside the cohort.
Section 9
Disclaimers
Senova's programmes are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for educational purposes. We make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding:
- The suitability of programme content for any particular financial situation or household circumstance.
- Any specific household financial outcome arising from participation in a programme.
- The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any publicly available information referenced in reading materials, such as CPF Life payout frameworks or SRS scheme details, which are subject to change by the relevant authorities.
Participants are encouraged to seek advice from a licensed financial adviser for personal financial planning matters. Senova facilitators are not licensed financial advisers under the Financial Advisers Act (Cap. 110) of Singapore, and no content in our programmes should be construed as such advice.
Section 10
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted under Singapore law, Senova's total liability to any participant in connection with a programme shall not exceed the programme fee paid by that participant for the relevant programme.
Senova shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive losses or damages of any kind, including but not limited to loss of anticipated savings, loss of household planning opportunity, or any financial decisions made in connection with participation in a programme.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by Senova's negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Singapore law, including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Cap. 52A).
Section 11
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Senova, its team members, facilitators, and associates from and against any claims, losses, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms and Conditions; (b) your conduct during or in connection with a Senova programme that causes harm to another participant or third party; or (c) any misrepresentation made by you in connection with your enrolment.
Section 12
Termination
12.1 Termination by Participant
You may withdraw from a programme at any time by notifying Senova in writing. Refund entitlements, if any, are governed by Section 7.3 of these terms.
12.2 Termination by Senova
Senova may remove a participant from a programme without further obligation where: (a) the participant's conduct is disruptive or in breach of these terms; (b) a participant has provided materially false information at enrolment; or (c) continuation of the participant's presence poses a concern to the wellbeing of other cohort members. In such cases, Senova will consider a proportionate fee adjustment at its discretion.
12.3 Survival
The provisions relating to intellectual property (Section 6), disclaimers (Section 9), limitation of liability (Section 10), indemnification (Section 11), and dispute resolution (Section 13) shall survive the termination or expiry of this Agreement.
Section 13
Dispute Resolution
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
13.2 Informal Resolution
We encourage participants to raise concerns with us directly before pursuing formal channels. Please write to us at [email protected] with a clear description of the matter. We will acknowledge receipt within three working days and aim to reach a considered response within ten working days.
13.3 Mediation
Where informal resolution does not resolve the matter, the parties agree to refer the dispute to mediation at the Singapore Mediation Centre before initiating any legal proceedings, unless the matter involves an urgent application for injunctive relief.
13.4 Jurisdiction
Subject to the above, both parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
Section 14
General Provisions
- Entire Agreement. These Terms and Conditions, together with your enrolment confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Senova in relation to programme participation and supersede all prior communications on the same subject.
- Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under Singapore law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, without affecting the remaining provisions.
- Waiver. Senova's failure to enforce any provision of these terms on any occasion does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision in the future.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement without Senova's prior written consent. Senova may transfer its rights and obligations under this Agreement, for example in connection with a restructuring or transfer of the business, provided that your rights as a participant are not materially affected.
- Notices. Any formal notice under this Agreement should be sent to Senova in writing at 1 Wallich Street, #14-01, Guoco Tower, Singapore 078881, or by email to [email protected].
Section 15
Changes to These Terms
Senova may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our programmes, applicable law, or operational practices. The updated terms will be published on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date.
For participants already enrolled in a cohort at the time of a revision, the terms in effect at the time of enrolment will continue to apply for that cohort's duration, unless the revision is required to comply with a change in Singapore law. For new enrolments, the terms published at the time of enrolment confirmation will apply.
